Expert Witness and Litigation Support

For law firms and legal teams

I analyze patents for infringement and validity. I review source code. I write technical reports and declarations for legal teams. My subjects are cryptography, lattice mathematics, cryptographic software, and hardware accelerators.

Technical Due Diligence

For investors and acquirers

I examine the technical claims of a company or a product. I can tell you which performance numbers are real. I can also tell you how each measurement was made. I can also tell you what a system does and what it does not do.

Technical Advisory

For engineering and research teams

I advise teams on cryptographic architecture and on the design of accelerators. Typical subjects are fully homomorphic encryption (FHE), post-quantum cryptography (PQC), secure multi-party computation (MPC), and confidential computing.

Executive Briefings and Training

For leadership teams and technical staff

I give briefings to leadership teams. I also teach courses of one day or two days for technical staff. Subjects include FHE, PQC migration, and privacy-preserving machine learning.

Background

  • Cryptography research scientist with 20 years of professional experience. More than 10 years of this experience is in privacy-enhancing technologies.
  • Co-author and maintainer of OpenFHE. An independent 2026 survey ranks OpenFHE first among FHE libraries, at 51 percent adoption.
  • Technical Principal Investigator of the $15M DARPA DPRIVE program. The program delivered a verified 12 nm FHE accelerator design at 1 GHz.
  • More than 50 peer-reviewed publications and more than 2,500 citations. Named inventor on 3 patents. 2 of these patents are granted in the United States.
  • Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore. US Permanent Resident (EB-1A).
